Is it permanently installed?

No, the StealthShade Privacy Curtain is fully removable.

However, installation does require a few simple modifications:
– Secure the rod to your headliner shelf with screws/bolts
– Attach the circular magnetic mounts to your van’s B-pillars

My headliner shelf has a curtain rod and up to now had an Amazon 30 dollar curtain hung for the last couple of years. And now your privacy curtain - installed yesterday. I have to say, the curtain is very impressive. Very. It's perfectly sized. Great length. I was worried about the paracord fasteners not being robust enough, but they are fantastic and give it just a tiny bit of needed color. I love the way it accordians up to store. Really nice. Makes the van feel more of a complete thought.

The privacy curtain is heavy-duty, blocks out lighting, and provides privacy that creates what appears to be an empty van rather than the appearance that someone is sleeping in it. Both SPOT ON!!

A Game Changer for Privacy and Comfort in Our Van!

What an update to what we were using to separate the cockpit from the cabin of our van before. We were utilizing a shower curtain to separate the cabin from the cockpit mainly to keep heat and a/c in the cockpit. With the purchase of the privacy curtain, we have accomplished that, along with the addition of the privacy in the cabin. One of the additional benefits that I did not expect is how quiet the back of the van is with the curtain closed.
